Rush River Delta is...

An original band of friends from the Driftless Region of Western Wisconsin.

Rock n' Roll, Americana, Roots and Soul.  The Song is the Boss...

Ryan Zwanziger

Singer- Songwriter- Guitars

Our founder and band leader... let's just hope he knows how to steer this thing!

Acoustic guitar player and singer Ryan Zwanziger’s arsenal of songs flows straight from the American songbook: Influenced by the deep pool of acclaimed songwriters from his native Minnesota, Zwanziger’s grunge and rock background pairs with his “slap ’n’ pop” acoustic guitar styling to afford a unique musical canvas. Through years of refinement, his signature songwriting elements of pop sensibility, lyrical depth and melodic hooks carry through his tunes, regardless of genre.

John Kurtis Dehn

Mandolin - Banjo - Harmonica - Vocals

Truly a "musicians musician" John is a multi instrumentalist, Singer, Songwriter and all around hell of a guy. We couldn't be happier to have him join us on our musical quest.

Bio from his website - www.johnkurtisdehn.com

Raised on a dairy farm north of the Twin Cities, John got his first guitar for Christmas when he was 7 and ingesting TV shows like Hee-Haw and the Glen Campbell Goodtime Hour. By junior high, he was writing songs on a nylon string guitar he purchased for $75 from Shopper's City. In high school. Bands were formed, mostly playing the music that he and his friends idolized: Young, Springsteen, The Clash, The Pretenders, Petty. Music became the way for John to "get it out."

Throughout life, music would sometimes take a back seat but it was never out of his mind or heart. Playing with bands like Oren Goby, Cosmoline, and then a 10-year stint playing guitar, banjo, and mandolin with Bernie King & The Guilty Pleasures kept the fire stoked. In 2020 much of that band relocated to warmer climates and John decided it was time to showcase his own original tunes. In 2022 he released his first full-length album, Shovel and Hole.

With influences like Leonard Cohen, Tom Waits, Paul Simon and Damien Rice, John’s music is melodic, passionate, and introspective, and his performances are personal and captivating.
